RAMALLAH, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian man died after being run over by an Israeli military vehicle in the town of Anabta, east of Tulkarm city in the northern West Bank, the Ramallah-based Palestinian Health Ministry reported Sunday.

The ministry, in a press statement, identified the victim as 20-year-old Abdul Karim Imad Mazid, adding the death toll from Israeli attacks across the West Bank since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 759, including 18 women and 165 children.

Eyewitnesses and Palestinian security sources told Xinhua that Israeli military vehicles stormed the town, intercepted vehicles, and chased a number of them before running over Mazid, who was riding a motorcycle.

According to Palestinian medical sources, Mazid was transferred to a hospital, where he was later announced dead from serious injuries.

The Israeli army has not yet commented on the incident.

Cities, camps, and villages in the West Bank have witnessed an escalation of violence since the outbreak of conflict between Israel and Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, 2023. Enditem
