MADRID, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona remain three points clear at the top of La Liga after a 5-1 win at home to Sevilla on Sunday night.

Robert Lewandowski scored twice before halftime, and Pedri hit a stunning shot into the top scorer as Barca put the game before the break.

Hansi Flick rested key players ahead of a week when his side will play Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, but substitute Pablo Torre scored Barca's fourth via a deflection in the 82nd minute.

There was more good news directly afterward when Spain international Gavi returned to action almost a year after suffering a serious knee injury.

Stanis Idumbo pulled a goal back for Sevilla, but there was still time for Torre to net his second of the game with a free kick that evaded everyone to end up in the back of the Sevilla net.

Atletico Madrid needed late goals from Alexander Sorloth and Antoine Griezmann to beat a dogged Leganes 3-1 in the Metropolitano Stadium.

Leganes took a surprise lead in the 33rd minute thanks to Yvan Neyou's powerful effort, and it wasn't until the 68th minute that Sorloth's backheel drew Atletico level.

Griezmann was then the smartest of the class to put Atletico ahead with 10 minutes to go, and after the French striker had a red card overturned by the VAR, Sorloth's deflected shot in the 98th minute gave Atletico's win extra sheen.

Villarreal remain fourth but dropped two points in a 1-1 draw at home to a spirited Getafe.

Villarreal had several chances in the first half, but it wasn't until the stroke of halftime that Santi Comisana fired them ahead from a loose ball in the area.

Getafe took the game to Villarreal after the break and got their reward when Raul Albiol's off-the-ball offense was spotted by the VAR, and Mauro Arambarri smashed his penalty into the roof of the net.

Vedat Muriqi's finish following a 75th-minute corner keeps Mallorca in the top-six after a tough 1-0 win at home to Rayo Vallecano in which Antonio Sanchez saw a second goal ruled out deep in injury time for a close offside.

Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr both scored as Real Madrid won 2-1 away to Celta Vigo on Saturday, with Mbappe scoring a powerful shot from outside the area and Vinicius taking advantage of a Luka Modric pass after Williot Swedberg had leveled for the home side, who had chances to take at least a point.

Athletic Club thrashed Espanyol to win 4-1 with two goals from Inaki Williams, one from Alex Berenguer, and a sixth-minute opener from Dani Vivian.

Alvaro Tejero scored a 92nd-minute free kick that was scant consolation for outplayed visitors.

Former Osasuna striker Chimy Avila returned to the El Sadar Stadium to give Betis a 2-1 win and end Osasuna's unbeaten home record.

Avila scored a 73rd-minute winner after goals from Vitor Roque for Betis and Lucas Torro had left the game 1-1 with just over half an hour left to play.

Mikel Oyarzabal's header after a perfectly timed run at the end of the first half was enough to give Real Sociedad a 1-0 triumph away to Girona, who looked a shadow of the side that so impressed last season.

On Friday, Real Valladolid took a controversial 3-2 win away to Alaves after Toni Martinez had put the home side ahead.

Mamadou Sylla quickly leveled from the penalty spot, and after Alaves had a second goal ruled out for offside, Selim Amallah put Valladolid ahead with another penalty after Jon Guridi was harshly penalized for handball.

Anuar Tuhami assured the win with Valladolid's third goal in the 76th minute, and although Kike Garcia gave Alaves hope deep into injury time, he was also sent off for protesting. Enditem
