BEIJING, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Zhejiang Lions center Hu Jinqiu and Dominique Jones from the Jilin Northeast Tigers became the first winners for Players of the Week award in the 2024-25 season's Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Monday.

Hu posted an average of 24.5 points, eight rebounds and one steal, making 70.5% of field shots and 87.5% of free throws as Zhejiang was one of four unbeaten teams after four rounds.

In the overseas player category, Jones stood out by averaging an impressive triple-double of 41.3 points, 11.8 rebounds and 13.5 assists, along with three steals per game.

In his first game back to Jilin, the versatile guard finished with 32 points, 16 rebounds, 15 assists and six steals, followed by his consecutive 40-plus-point performances in three matches, including two triple-doubles. Enditem
