JERUSALEM, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Eurocup club Hapoel Tel Aviv announced on Monday the one-season signing of former NBA guard Antonio Blakeney, who recently played for the Nanjing Monkey Kings of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league.

After playing college basketball at LSU, the 28-year-old American spent two seasons with the Chicago Bulls from 2017 to 2019, averaging 7.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 76 NBA games.

He then joined CBA's Jiangsu Dragons, where he played two non-consecutive seasons, and was named the league's top scorer of the 2022-2023 season, averaging 32.7 points per game.

Last season with Nanjing he finished second in the league in points per game, averaging 30.5.

In his three seasons in China, Blakeney averaged 32 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in 102 games.

He also played for the Al-Ahli of Bahrain and Israel's Hapoel Beer Sheva.

Hapoel's General Manager George Hinas said, "Antonio is a very skilled and competitive guard who will help us ahead of the tough schedule in the Eurocup and the Israeli league." Enditem
