JAKARTA -- Indonesia has established a new investment firm, intended to become a super holding company for state-owned enterprises focused on investment management, similar to Singapore's Temasek.

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia's trade volume with its fellow ASEAN member states was valued at 11.72 billion U.S. dollars in the first nine months of 2024, up 13 percent from 10.37 billion dollars over the same period last year, said an official report released on Tuesday.
The kingdom exported products totally worth 3.81 billion dollars to other ASEAN countries during the January-September period, up 13 percent from 3.37 billion dollars over the same period last year, said the report from the General Department of Customs and Excise. (Cambodia-ASEAN-Trade)

ISLAMABAD -- Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Pakistan increased by 48.2 percent in the first quarter of the current fiscal year (FY25) starting July, according to the latest official data.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) released the data on Monday saying the country received 771.1 million U.S. dollars in FDI from July to September 2024 compared to 520.2 million U.S. dollars received in the same period of the previous fiscal year. (Pakistan-FDI)

MANILA -- A speeding sedan car carrying five people rammed into a parked 10-wheeler truck in Rizal province, east of Manila, before dawn on Tuesday, killing one and injuring three, police said.
