Serbia remains committed to European integration: Serbian president

BELGRADE, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Serbia remains committed to its European integration, bolstered by strong support from Poland, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said after talks with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Belgrade on Thursday.

According to a press release from the Serbian president's office, Tusk arrived in Serbia for an official visit on Wednesday. During meetings with Vucic and other Serbian officials, Serbia's European Union (EU) accession process and the broader enlargement for the Western Balkans were discussed.

Vucic emphasized that Poland is a key partner for Serbia, not only in terms of its EU path but also due to the growing relations between the two nations. He expressed the desire to enhance cooperation with Poland in sectors such as innovation, biotechnology, and startups.

Tusk reaffirmed Poland's strong support for Serbia's EU membership. He praised Serbia's economic progress and stressed the importance of expanding and deepening cooperation between the two countries. Enditem
