JERUSALEM, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Three Israeli soldiers were killed Friday in the northern Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.
The three included an officer and two trainees from the tank commanders course in the IDF's Armored Corps training division.
Israel's state-owned Kan TV News reported that, as part of the siege of the Kamal Adwan hospital in the city of Beit Lahia, an Israeli tank was hit while moving, apparently by an explosive device, resulting in the deaths of the three soldiers.
According to the channel, Israeli forces surrounded the hospital on Thursday night and, in coordination with the United Nations, evacuated 23 hospitalized patients, most of them children, to other hospitals in the Gaza Strip along with their companions. Enditem
