JERUSALEM, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed Friday when a rocket fired from Lebanon struck the Druze town of Majd Al Krum, state-owned Kan TV News reported.
According to a statement from the Galilee Medical Center in the city of Nahariya, the two are Arjwan Manaa, 25, a resident of Majd Al Krum, and Hassan Suad, 22, from the nearby town of Bi'ina.
Following the incident, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz wrote on social media platform X that the attack "again proves that Iran's proxies kill Jews, Christians, Muslim Arabs, Bedouins, Druze, and anyone different from them. The world must stop Iran now before it's too late."
The rocket also injured seven other people, including an 80-year-old man who is in serious condition, according to the channel and Israel's Magen David Adom rescue service.
Video footage on social media showed the rocket hit a fitness club in the town.
The Israel Defense Forces said that the rocket was part of a barrage of 30 projectiles launched from Lebanon into several areas in northern Israel, with some being intercepted and others falling to the ground. Enditem
