BEIRUT -- Hezbollah announced on Friday that it launched air attacks using squadrons of suicide drones and missiles targeting the northern Israeli city of Safed and other locations in northern Israel.

The targets include Ramat David Airbase, Filon Air Force Base, the Israeli city of Karmiel, as well as Al-Manara and Kfar Giladi, two kibbutzim in Israel, and Shomera, a moshav, according to the Lebanese armed group. (Lebanon-Israel-Fire Exchange)

GAZA -- At least 53 Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes on the northern and southern Gaza Strip from Thursday night through Friday, Palestinian sources said.

CAIRO -- High-ranking Egyptian security and military team met with a delegation from Israel to press for restoring talks on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Egypt's Al-Qahera News TV channel reported on Friday.

Citing an anonymous security official, the report said the chief of Israel's Mossad intelligence agency, and a delegation of Shin Bet security service attended the meeting, without detailing the time of the meeting. ANKARA -- The perpetrators of the terror attack in Ankara infiltrated Türkiye from Syria, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, as quoted by the semi-official Anadolu Agency on Friday.

"We have learned that this terror attack was a terrorist infiltration from Syria," Erdogan told journalists on his flight back from Kazan, Russia, where he attended a BRICS summit, adding that operations against those terrorists were carried out at 40 different locations throughout the night.
