TEHRAN -- A number of explosions were heard in the Iranian capital in the early hours of Saturday, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

SANTIAGO -- Twenty-three of the 35 students injured in an explosion inside a school in the Chilean capital on Wednesday are still hospitalized, the Ministry of Health said on Friday.

GAZA -- At least 53 Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes on the northern and southern Gaza Strip from Thursday night through Friday, Palestinian sources said.

ACCRA -- Two people have died of cholera in the eastern part of Ghana's capital of Accra, authorities said Friday.

The Ghana Health Service, a public service body, confirmed the outbreak of this acute diarrhoeal disease in the Ada East and West districts within the Greater Accra Region, with a total of 43 cases having been reported so far. (Ghana-Cholera-Death) Enditem
