PHNOM PENH, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia's Ministry of Education announced on Wednesday that 106,351 students, or 79 percent of the 134,634 in total, passed their annual high school graduation exam.
"Some 2,216 applicants gained Grade A, 9,701 others earned Grade B, and the remainder passed with Grade C, D and E," the ministry said in a statement.
The Grade 12 students sat for the exam on Oct. 8 and 9 in the subjects of earth and environment, geography, history, biology, foreign language, Khmer literature, mathematics, chemistry, physics, and morality-civics.
The passing rate in the 2024 exam was higher than the 72.89 percent passing rate recorded a year earlier, according to the ministry.
