JERUSALEM -- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement on Wednesday that its Air Forces killed Mustafa Ahmad Shahadi, deputy commander of Hezbollah's elite Radwan Forces, in the Lebanese city of Nabatieh.

The IDF noted that Shahadi, who was targeted based on intelligence, "advanced numerous terror attacks against Israel." (Israel-Lebanon-Killing)

BEIRUT -- The death toll from Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon since the beginning of the Israeli-Hezbollah conflict on Oct. 8, 2023, has reached 2,822, with injuries up to 12,937, the Lebanese Health Ministry reported Wednesday.

On Tuesday alone, 30 people were killed and 165 others injured, the ministry said. (Lebanon-Israeli Strikes-Casualty)

GAZA -- At least 26 Palestinians were killed and dozens of others injured on Wednesday in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, Palestinian sources said.

In the southern Gazan city of Khan Younis, Israeli warplanes bombed a home in the Sheikh Nasser neighborhood, killing four people, including a child and two women, according to Palestinian medical sources. (Gaza Strip-Hamas-Israel)

RIYADH/RAMALLAH -- Saudi Arabia hosted on Wednesday the first meeting of the global alliance in Riyadh, aiming to push for the establishment of a Palestinian state.

In his opening remarks, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah emphasized that the escalating violence in the region and the continued Israeli "aggression" on Palestine and Lebanon requires a firm response from the international community, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
