BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Kaio Jorge struck a first-half winner as Brazil's Cruzeiro advanced to the Copa Sudamerica final on Wednesday with a 1-0 away win over Argentine side Lanus.
The 22-year-old former Juventus forward gave Cruzeiro the lead just before halftime when he capitalized on chaotic defending to slot home from eight yards after his initial attempt was blocked by Ezequiel Munoz.
Cruzeiro controlled the tempo of the match thereafter as they ended a seven-game winless streak across all competitions.
The result gave the Belo Horizonte outfit a 2-1 win on aggregate after the two sides drew 1-1 in last week's first leg.
Cruzeiro will meet either Brazil's Corinthians or Argentine side Racing Club in the final, to be played in Paraguayan capital Asuncion on November 23. Enditem
