MINSK -- The Second Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security kicked off on Thursday, with the aim to conduct frank and inclusive discussions on such topics as the multi-polarization of the world, security on the Eurasian continent, and global economic security.
At the opening ceremony, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko highlighted an urgent need for the world to have a frank dialogue and a fair assessment of the current events in order to safeguard the comprehensive security of all countries in the military, political, economic, informational and other spheres. DAMASCUS -- Israeli airstrikes on Thursday targeted several sites in and around the al-Qusayr city in central Syrian province of Homs, resulting in damage and five deaths, according to a war monitor and local media.

JERUSALEM -- Five agriculture workers were killed and another seriously injured on Thursday in a rocket attack from Lebanon on northern Israel, according to Israel's MDA rescue service.

TIRANA -- Three people were killed and one injured in a shooting incident on Wednesday evening in Shkoder, northern Albania.
Local media reported that suspects, including a driver and two attackers, fired from a Range Rover at two victims traveling in a Mercedes-Benz, which subsequently collided with a motorcycle.
