HONG KONG, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Diana Shnaider breezed past Katie Boulter to win the WTA Hong Kong Open title on Sunday, defeating the British player 6-1, 6-2 in just 71 minutes.
The top-seeded Shnaider, ranked 14th in the world, captured her fourth title of the season, adding to her victories at the Bad Homburg Open in Germany, the Hua Hin Championships in Thailand, and the Budapest Grand Prix in Hungary.
"I feel like I was at a high level," the 20-year-old Russian said. "Definitely, I am happy and proud of how I competed today."
Boulter, the second seed and seeking her third title of the season, reflected on the tough match, saying, "I wanted to give everything I possibly could. But it wasn't enough." Enditem
