BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- The upgraded headquarters facilities of Brunei's largest telecommunications company have been inaugurated.
Brunei's Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and the Second Minister of Finance and Economy Haji Mohd Amin Liew hailed the inauguration, local media reported on Tuesday.
"This transformation is not just about upgrading a physical structure, it embodies our commitment as a country to embrace technology," the minister was quoted by the local daily Borneo Bulletin as saying.
"As we continue to promote foreign direct investment, it is crucial that our infrastructure meets the needs of multinational companies. This building should be a beacon of innovation and progress, providing a dynamic space for work, collaboration and connection," he added.
Brunei is an oil-rich country in Southeast Asia, with a GDP of 15 billion U.S. dollars in 2023, and the Bruneian government places high importance on economic diversity and technological development. Enditem
