Iraqi PM urges U.S. to intensify efforts to end conflict in Gaza, Lebanon

BAGHDAD, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani urged Tuesday the United States to intensify efforts to end the Israeli military operations in Gaza and Lebanon.

According to a statement by his media office, al-Sudani spoke with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken about the significant risks posed by the ongoing Israeli attacks in Gaza and Lebanon. They emphasized the impact of these actions on regional and global security and stability.

Al-Sudani urged the United States and other major powers to intensify their efforts to end the conflict, the statement said.

Al-Sudani also stressed the importance of sustained efforts to alleviate the severe humanitarian impact of the conflict, calling for intensified relief operations to deliver aid to civilians in conflict areas and those displaced by the war. Enditem
