BUCHAREST, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Romania is set to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into its vaccine production efforts, it emerged at the Nexxt Summit in Bucharest this week.
Luciana Morogan from the European Commission's Directorate-General for Defense Industry and Space said Romania is collaborating with a major consortium on a project that employs AI to streamline the vaccine development process, according to the official Agerpres news agency.
The initiative is currently in the preliminary stages, focusing on unsupervised learning with unstructured data to enhance protein and antigen predictions.
This AI-powered approach is expected to optimize vaccine formula predictions and facilitate real-time image analysis of laboratory samples.
Multimodal AI was another focal point at the Nexxt Summit, a gathering of industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers. Morogan highlighted its applications, which combine data from images, text, and sound, advancing innovations across various sectors.
Organized by UNCHAIN Media, the Nexxt Summit 2024 runs from Nov. 7 to 10 and showcases how emerging technologies are reshaping industries in Romania and beyond. Enditem
