SOFIA, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Bulgaria's Constitutional Court has launched an investigation into alleged election irregularities in 52 polling stations from the Oct. 27 parliamentary elections, following a formal request by 67 Members of Parliament (MPs).
The MPs claim video surveillance footage shows ballots for one party were misallocated in official records to another party, potentially altering national results.
While Bulgaria's election included nearly 13,500 polling stations, officials say a recount in the questioned 52 stations could impact party representation in parliament.
Notably, the Greatness party missed the 4 percent threshold required for parliamentary entry by a slim margin, falling short by just 20 votes. The court has two months to issue a ruling. Enditem
