ISLAMABAD -- The death toll of a blast that hit a railway station in Quetta city of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Saturday rose to 25, health and police officials said.

Confirming the casualties, Waseem Baig, media coordinator of the provincial health ministry of Balochistan, told Xinhua that the death toll increased after at least five injured people succumbed to injuries during treatment. (Pakistan-Terrorism Attack-Balochistan)

TOKYO -- Japan's Komeito Party, the coalition partner of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), held an extraordinary convention on Saturday to formally endorse land minister Tetsuo Saito as its new leader.

KABUL -- Afghan caretaker government's supreme leader, Hibatullah Akhundzada, has recently issued a decree to centralize control of military equipment, shifting authority over distribution from the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Interior Affairs, according to local media outlet Tolonews on Friday night.
