ABU DHABI, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- The first Middle East Consumer Electronics Show, featuring exclusively China-made home appliances and electronics, opened Tuesday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The event, organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, spotlights state-of-the-art green and smart products.

Nearly 200 renowned Chinese brands, including Hisense, Huawei, Midea, and Gree, are presenting at the expo a range of products, such as smart home appliances, intelligent kitchen equipment, personal care devices, audiovisual products, and communications and connectivity solutions.

The exhibition has attracted over 6,000 buyers from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other countries, who have shown keen interest in China's advanced home appliances and electronic products.

In his keynote address at the opening ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to the UAE Zhang Yiming said that China-UAE relations are now at their best, as a broad, multifaceted cooperation framework is being forged.

Zhang highlighted that the economies of China and the UAE are highly complementary and aligned, offering vast potential for future collaboration.

He described the expo as an essential platform for showcasing Chinese innovation and technology, as well as a testament to the deepening China-UAE economic ties.

"We hope to see more China-UAE business partnerships in the future to boost comprehensive bilateral economic cooperation," Zhang added.

In addition to product displays, the three-day event also features an industry development-themed forum, a special matchmaking event for Saudi buyers, and other activities designed to foster business connections among participating companies. Enditem
