JAKARTA, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and six others injured in a crash on the Medan-Banda Aceh road in Indonesia's Aceh province.

"The accident involved a passenger vehicle and a garbage truck early Wednesday at around 4:30 a.m. local time," said Aceh Regional Police Traffic Director Commissioner Iqbal Alqudusy.

According to Alqudusy, the accident occurred when the passenger vehicle carrying nine people collided with the rear of the garbage truck that had stopped on the roadside.

One of the deceased victims has been identified as Fernanda, 50, a passenger from Aceh Tamiang Regency, while the other victim was still being identified.

Police responded to the scene, conducted an investigation, and transported the victims to a general hospital. Enditem
