DAMASCUS -- Israeli airstrikes targeted bridges and roads in central Syria's Homs province near the Lebanese border on Wednesday night, injuring 11 people and causing significant damage, according to local media and Syria's Defense Ministry.
"Around 8:05 p.m. (1705 GMT), the Israeli enemy carried out an aerial attack from the direction of Lebanon, targeting bridges over the Orontes River and roads on the Syria-Lebanon border in the Al-Qusayr area in the countryside of Homs," the Defense Ministry said in a statement carried by state media. PORT SUDAN -- The Sudanese government on Wednesday decided to extend the opening of the Adre border crossing with Chad for three months to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the war-affected population in the country.
The government vowed to continue cooperation and coordination with international organizations and humanitarian agencies, particularly the United Nations, to deliver aid to the needy, according to a statement. (Sudan-Crossing-Open)

JERUSALEM -- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Wednesday that six soldiers were killed in a clash with Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, the IDF said the soldiers "fell during combat" and identified five of them as members of the Golani Brigade's Infantry Battalion 51. The identity of the sixth soldier was withheld pending family notification. (Israel-Soldiers-Death)

ANKARA -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that Türkiye has no intention to continue and develop ties with Israel.
