BEIRUT -- At least 12 paramedics from civil defense teams were killed on Thursday night in an Israeli airstrike on their center in Duris, a village in Baalbek in eastern Lebanon, Lebanese news website Elnashra reported.

According to Elnashra, Baalbek Governor Bachir Khodor said that the bodies of 12 civil defense members were recovered from under the rubble, and the debris removal process is still ongoing. ANKARA -- Türkiye and Qatar signed on Thursday eight agreements to deepen bilateral cooperation.

TEHRAN -- Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said on Thursday that the country is ready for nuclear negotiations, depending on how serious the other parties are in this regard.

DAMASCUS/JERUSALEM -- Israeli forces on Thursday conducted airstrikes on residential buildings in Syria's capital Damascus and its vicinity, killing at least 15 people and injuring 16 others, according to the Syrian Defense Ministry and state TV.

The ministry stated that around 3:20 p.m. local time (1220 GMT), the Israeli army launched an air attack from the direction of the occupied Golan Heights, targeting several residential buildings in the Mazzeh neighborhood west of Damascus and the Qudsaya suburb northwest of the capital.
