Chinese literature recitation contest held in Mongolia's capital

ULAN BATOR, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- The 13th edition of the annual Chinese literature recitation contest for Mongolian middle school students was held in Ulan Bator, capital of Mongolia, on Friday.

Organized by the Confucius Institute at the National University of Mongolia, the contest aimed to strengthen cultural ties between China and Mongolia through the appreciation of classical Chinese literature.

A total of 93 students from 20 schools across the country participated in the event, performing 46 recitations.

Two male students from Khishing School in Ulan Bator claimed first place in the competition with their recitations of the poem "Full River Red". Enditem
