MADRID, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid and FC Barcelona's women's teams go head-to-head in 'El Clasico' in Spain's Liga F on Saturday night.

The match is one of the best women's club games currently to be seen in Europe, with reigning European champions, Barcelona, untouchable in the Liga F, which it leads with nine wins from nine games, scoring 43 goals and conceding just five.

Real Madrid is in second place, with seven wins and a draw from eight match, with 20 goals scored and just three conceded.

The pair go into Saturday's match after convincing wins in Europe, with Barca winning 7-0 at home to SKD St Polton, while Real Madrid defeated the Dutch side Twente by the same score.

The two teams also make up the bulk of the Spanish women's side, with Real Madrid's Alba Redondo, Teresa Abelleira, Eva Navarro, Misa Rodriguez and Olga Carmona, all Spain regulars, although it is missing winger Athenea del Castello, who has a broken collar bone.

Barcelona meanwhile has internationals such as Cata Coll, Ona Battle, Irene Paredes, Jan Fernandez, Vicky Lopez, Patri Guijarro, Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmati.

The game should serve to highlight the quality at the top of the Liga F, but it also highlights some shortcomings, given that it isn't played at Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, but at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium at Real Madrid's Valdebebas training complex, which has capacity for just 6,000 fans.

Several Barca players have also used the Clasico to highlight that the Liga F is still without VAR technology.

"I understand it is something that should be incorporated, above all, because there are other leagues that we compete with to be the best league in the world, that have used it for years," explained Putellas. Enditem
