TOKYO -- Japan's economy grew an annualized 0.9 percent in July-September from the prior period, expanding for the second straight quarter, government data showed Friday.

COLOMBO -- Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's National People's Power (NPP) party secured two thirds majority in parliament after Thursday's parliamentary election, data released by the country's Election Commission showed Friday.
