BEIRUT -- The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said in a statement on Friday that an artillery shell hit its West Sector headquarters in the village of Chamaa in southern Lebanon.

DAMASCUS -- Israeli airstrikes targeted on Friday the Mazzeh neighborhood west of the Syrian capital Damascus for a second consecutive day, according to war monitor reports.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike targeting the Zahriyat Housing Complex, a military residential area near Al-Akram Mosque in the Mazzeh district. (Syria-Israeli Airstrike-Damascus)

ANKARA -- Turkish security forces have "neutralized" a total of 12 "terrorists" in military operations in northern Iraq and northern Syria, the country's Defense Ministry said Friday.
The forces killed three members of the Syrian Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) in the "Operation Euphrates Shield" and "Operation Olive Branch" zones of the Turkish military in northern Syria, the ministry said in a statement. (Türkiye-Iraq-Kurdish Militants)

TEHRAN -- Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi on Friday visited two Iranian nuclear sites of Natanz and Fordow for the first time.
During his visit, Grossi was accompanied by Massimo Aparo, IAEA deputy director general and head of the IAEA Department of Safeguards, Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, and Kazem Gharibabadi, Iranian deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.
