MANILA -- Four people were killed and three others injured after a 16-wheeler truck hit motorcycles in the Philippine capital region on early Sunday, local authorities said.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said the accident occurred at 4:39 a.m. local time in Pasig City, Metro Manila. Among the killed were a four-year-old boy and his parents on board a motorcycle, while the other one was the driver of another motorcycle. (Philippines-Road Crash-Deaths)

BEIRUT -- An Israeli airstrike targeting the office of Syria's Ba'ath Party in central Beirut on Sunday noon has killed Hezbollah Media Chief Mohammad Afif and three other people, local TV channel al-Jadeed reported.

According to al-Jadeed, Israeli warplanes attacked the office located between the area of Ras al-Nabaa and the Sodeco Square commercial center with two air-to-surface missiles after the Ba'ath Party received a call from the Israeli army asking it to evacuate the building hosting the party. BAGHDAD -- Three members of the Peshmerga, the military of the Kurdistan Regional Government, including two colonels, were killed in a roadside bomb blast on Sunday in Salahudin province north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

The bomb, planted earlier by the Islamic State (IS) group near the town of Tuz Khurmatu in eastern Salahudin, went off when a joint patrol from the Iraqi army and the Peshmerga passed near it, Mohammed al-Bazi from the provincial police command told Xinhua. (Iraq-Peshmerga Members-IS Bomb)

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani military claimed on Saturday night to have repulsed a terrorist attack at a security check post resulting in the death of six terrorists in Kalat district of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan army, said in a statement that a group of terrorists attempted to attack a security forces' post in the Shah-e-Mardan area of Kalat on Friday night. (Pakistan-Counter Terrorism) Enditem
