BEIRUT -- An Israeli airstrike targeting the office of Syria's Ba'ath Party in central Beirut on Sunday noon has killed Hezbollah Media Chief Mohammad Afif and three other people, local TV channel al-Jadeed reported.

According to al-Jadeed, Israeli warplanes attacked the office located between the area of Ras al-Nabaa and the Sodeco Square commercial center with two air-to-surface missiles after the Ba'ath Party received a call from the Israeli army asking it to evacuate the building hosting the party. ANKARA -- Türkiye has denied Israeli President Isaac Herzog's airplane access to Turkish airspace on his way to Azerbaijan, the semi-official Anadolu Agency reported on Sunday.

The Israeli government had requested permission for Herzog's plane to use Turkish airspace en route to the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Baku, which kicked off on Nov. 11. PORT SUDAN -- The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) said on Sunday that 150 fighters of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces were killed in a battle in El Fasher, the capital city of North Darfur State in western Sudan.

"Our forces have been engaged in a continued battle for more than two hours southeast of El Fasher," the command of the SAF's 6th Infantry Division in El Fasher said in a statement. (Sudan-Civil War-Deaths)
