NEW YORK, Nov. 19 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar weakened in late trading on Tuesday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.07 percent to 106.206 at 3:00 p.m. (2000 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro advanced to 1.0594 U.S. dollars from 1.0591 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound added to 1.2676 dollars from 1.2672 dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 154.70 Japanese yen, lower than 154.74 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar lost to 0.8828 Swiss francs from 0.8835 Swiss francs, and it decreased to 1.3966 Canadian dollars from 1.4019 Canadian dollars.
