JERUSALEM -- Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz toured the Gaza coastline on Tuesday, vowing that Hamas would no longer govern the Palestinian enclave after the war.

Accompanied by Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi and Shin Bet security agency Chief Ronen Bar, the two politicians visited an area dubbed by Israel as the Netzarim Corridor. SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group said in a statement on Tuesday that it had launched a rocket attack on the "Anadolu S" ship in the Red Sea.

"We carried out an operation targeting the ship, Anadolu S, in the Red Sea with a number of appropriate ballistic and naval rockets, and the hit was accurate," Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sarea said in a statement, without providing the details regarding the extent of the damage or casualties. TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei on Tuesday strongly condemned the sanctions imposed by Britain and the European Union (EU) on Iran over the country's alleged transfer of missiles and drones to Russia.

He made the remarks in a statement released by the ministry while reacting to the move by the EU and Britain on Monday to impose sanctions against Iranian entities and persons, including the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines and its Director Mohammad-Reza Modares Khiabani, based on the "baseless" claim of transferring ballistic missiles to Russia for use against Ukraine. BEIRUT -- U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein said on Tuesday that a solution to the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel is close, adding that he has held constructive talks with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
