YANGON, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's Ministry of Hotels and Tourism launched a Chinese language HSK-II training in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday, the official daily The Global New Light of Myanmar reported on Wednesday.
During the event, Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Thet Thet Khine highlighted that the tourism industry is a service-oriented business, and it is important to be able to communicate with tourists in their languages, the report said.
The minister encouraged trainees to study hard and become reliable employees for the ministry, it added.
Besides Chinese language courses, the ministry is also offering language courses nationwide in English, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Thai, the report said.
