TASHKENT, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan's ongoing social, economic and political reforms will enable the Central Asian country's GDP to reach 200 billion U.S. dollars by 2030, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said on Wednesday.
During his address to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (the lower house of parliament), Mirziyoyev outlined the government's major goals for the next five years.
He said the government aims for an annual economic growth rate of 6-7 percent and a sustainable reduction in inflation to 5-6 percent.
The president noted that key measures have been implemented as part of efforts to join the World Trade Organization, a goal Mirziyoyev expects to achieve in the coming years. Enditem
