BEIRUT -- Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem said Wednesday that Hezbollah has included its remarks on the U.S. draft proposal for a ceasefire in Lebanon, which aligns with those of the Lebanese government, and that the decision is now in Israel's hands.

DAMASCUS -- At least 36 people were killed and more than 50 others wounded by an Israeli missile attack that hit sites in and around the city of Palmyra in central Syria on Wednesday, according to the Syrian Defense Ministry.
"Around 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression from the direction of the al-Tanf area, targeting a number of buildings in the city of Palmyra in the Syrian desert, which led to the martyrdom of 36 people and the injury of more than 50 others, and caused significant material damage to the targeted buildings and the surrounding area," the ministry said in a statement. PORT SUDAN, Sudan -- At least 46 people have been killed in a village in central Sudan due to alleged attacks by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and spreading diseases, a medical source and a volunteer group said Wednesday.
The medical source from a hospital near Wad Ashib village in eastern Gezira State told Xinhua that "during yesterday (Tuesday) and today, the hospital received bodies of 21 people who were killed in an RSF attack on the village. GAZA -- At least 13 Palestinians, including a member of the Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza, were killed Wednesday morning in Israeli airstrikes across the enclave, Palestinian sources said.
