ISLAMABAD, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko held delegation-level talks here on Tuesday and agreed to deepen inter-parliamentary exchanges, enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation, said an official statement.

The Media Wing of the Prime Minister Office said in the statement that the talks were reflective of the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Belarus, with the full spectrum of bilateral relations as well as important regional and global developments.

Both leaders expressed their satisfaction at the current positive trajectory of Pakistan-Belarus relations and agreed to maintain the momentum through regular high-level engagement and institutional cooperation, added the PM Office.

Lukashenko arrived in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad on Monday on a three-day visit on the invitation of Sharif.

The two leaders also witnessed the signing of several agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) to foster closer collaboration between Pakistan and Belarus in key sectors, including environmental protection, disaster management, halal trade, audit institutions, financial intelligence sharing, education, science and technology, international road transport, extradition, health services.

The PM Office added that both sides also signed an agreement on the "Roadmap for Comprehensive Cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus for 2025-2027," which outlines a strategic framework for enhancing economic ties through high-level meetings, inter-governmental commissions, and targeted collaborative initiatives.
