NEW DELHI -- All schools and educational institutions have been shut in Puducherry and Karaikal areas, in south India in the wake of extremely heavy rains expected over the next 24 to 48 hours, announced Puducherry Education Minister Arumugam Namassivayam on Tuesday.

JAKARTA -- A multi-vehicle accident in Indonesia's Jakarta on Tuesday has left two motorcyclists dead, the city police said.

KUALA LUMPUR (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's digital economy is poised to reach 31 billion U.S. dollars in gross merchandise value (GMV) in 2024, an increase of 16 percent from 2023, according to the latest e-Conomy SEA 2024 report by Google, Temasek and Bain & Company.
