YANGON, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's foreign trade has exceeded over 15.4 billion U.S. dollars from April 1 to October 25 in the current fiscal year 2024-25, the state-run newspaper Global New Light of Myanmar reported on Wednesday.
During this period, the Southeast Asian country earned about 8.5 billion dollars from exports, while its imports were valued at about 6.9 billion dollars, said the report, citing figures released by the Ministry of Commerce.
Myanmar mainly exports agricultural products, animal products, minerals, forest products, and finished industrial goods, while importing capital goods, intermediate goods, raw materials and consumer goods, it said.
To boost exports, the country is implementing the National Export Strategy (NES) 2020-2025, it added. Enditem
