YAOUNDE -- At least 20 people were killed on Thursday after a boat capsized in Cameroon's Far North region, according to witnesses and security sources.

The boat capsized as it was transporting passengers from Darak island in the Logone-et-Chari division of region, witnesses told Xinhua Thursday evening.

BEIRUT -- Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Thursday urged pressure on Israel to stop its violations of the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, according to a statement by the Council of Ministers, Lebanon's cabinet.

CANBERRA -- With bipartisan support, the bill of social media ban for children under 16 passed the Senate of Australia late on Thursday, the final sitting day of the year.
