ALGIERS, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune met with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in Algiers on Friday to strengthen bilateral ties and explore new opportunities for cooperation, Algeria's official news agency APS reported.
The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Africa's development through collaboration and innovation. Ramaphosa expressed gratitude for Algeria's unwavering support during South Africa's anti-apartheid struggle, emphasizing the enduring solidarity between the two nations.
The visit coincided with the conclusion of the Algeria-South Africa Economic Forum, which brought together over 300 business leaders and officials from both countries.
The two sides agreed during the forum to organize an Algerian product exhibition in Johannesburg in early 2025 and to actively participate in major trade events, such as the Algiers International Fair and the African Intercontinental Trade Fair. Enditem
