Brunei minister encourages volunteerism for sustainable development

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Brunei's Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Haji Nazmi urged more people to get involved in volunteer activities during the celebration of International Volunteer Day 2024, local media reported on Friday.

According to the local daily Borneo Bulletin, the minister highlighted the importance of using energy, creativity, and innovation to scale up current volunteer projects and pioneer new initiatives that can have a significant impact on the community.

The minister said that volunteers are agents of change who play a crucial role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Volunteers serve as catalysts for creative solutions and practical actions in society. Enditem
