SAO PAULO, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Palmeiras teenager Estevao urged his teammates to remain focused on Friday as the Sao Paulo club seeks back-to-back Brazilian Serie A titles.

Palmeiras must beat Fluminense at home on Sunday while hoping that leaders Botafogo lose at home to Sao Paulo the same day to secure their 13th top-flight crown.

Estevao, who has a contract to join Chelsea next July, said the team's confidence had been boosted by a come-from-behind away win over Cruzeiro on Wednesday.

"Against Cruzeiro, we were able to stay patient in the game and overcome difficulties," the 17-year-old told reporters.

"We also knew the right moment to attack and go for the win. We managed to get on level terms and I was fortunate enough to score the second goal. Now it's time to focus on the next game, which will be very important for us, at home, with our fans. Hopefully, we can come away with another victory."

Estevao has emerged as one of South American football's brightest talents with 19 goals and 12 assists in 49 games across all competitions for Palmeiras this year.

The attacking midfielder secured a first international call-up in September and he has since earned four Brazil caps.

"Everyone here at the club has played an important role for me this year," Estevao said. "I just have to thank them all, and my family too, who have helped me a lot.

"This is a year I had high expectations but I've achieved more than I thought I would. I've been able to take advantage of every opportunity. I'm just happy to help my teammates and help Palmeiras." Enditem
