Vietnam's state budget collection from import-export soars 18.6 pct

HANOI, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's state budget collection from import and export activities surged 18.6 percent year on year to 248.6 trillion Vietnamese dong (9.8 billion U.S. dollars) in the first 11 months of 2024, equivalent to 121.9 percent of the whole year's estimate, the country's General Statistics Office has said.

The total import and export value during the period hit 715.55 billion dollars, up 15.4 percent year on year.

In the 11 months, export value expanded by 14.4 percent to 369.93 billion dollars, while imports grew by 16.4 percent to 345.62 billion dollars.

Meanwhile, Vietnam posted a state budget collection of over 1.5 quadrillion dong (59.1 billion dollars) from domestic revenue in the first 11 months of this year, up 16.8 percent year on year, said the office. Enditem
