JAKARTA, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto aims to achieve up to 30 percent savings in the procurement of goods and services by implementing e-catalog version 6.0, starting Jan. 1, 2025.
"Through e-catalog version 6.0, we hope to reduce procurement costs by 20 to 30 percent and cut administrative expenses by 40 to 50 percent. This initiative seeks to enhance transparency, efficiency, and speed," Prabowo said during the launch of e-catalog version 6.0 at the State Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He added that all transactions across ministries, agencies, and local governments will be required to use this e-catalog starting Jan. 1
Prabowo was optimistic that the implementation of the e-catalog will significantly improve Indonesia's procurement system.
"This digitalization is a strategic step to promote transparency and efficiency while fostering clean governance," he added. Enditem
