LOS ANGELES, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- November 2024 marks the second-hottest November in record, according to NASA updates on Tuesday.

This November was 1.31 degrees Celcius above the long-term 1951-1980 average, according to the monthly surface temperature analysis by NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies.

The above-average temperatures continue a long-term warming trend driven by human activities, said NASA.

Global temperatures have soared in recent years. In 2024, global temperatures for June through August were also the hottest on record, according to NASA. Enditem
