SYDNEY, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- A man died in hospital on Sunday following a fire on a property in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW), NSW Police said.
Emergency services were called to the property in Gunnedah in NSW Saturday afternoon, following reports that a paddock caught fire, the police said.
A man, who was operating machinery on the paddock at the time, was injured and treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.
The 39-year-old man died in hospital on Sunday, the police said.
Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the fire and the man's death were underway, according to NSW Police. Enditem
