BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- A delegation from Brunei Darussalam attended the ASEAN Workshop on International Legal Cooperation in Trafficking in Persons (TIP), local media reported on Tuesday.

According to the local daily Borneo Bulletin, the event, held in Thailand from Dec. 11 to 13, aimed to present and discuss the updated draft of the zero draft of the ASEAN Compendium on International Legal Cooperation on Trafficking in Persons Cases, as well as the ASEAN Handbook on International Legal Cooperation in Trafficking in Persons Cases.

The workshop provided an opportunity for enforcement agencies and prosecutors in dealing with trafficking in person cases in ASEAN member countries to explore cooperation, exchange views and information, and learn good practices in the ASEAN region and internationally, according to the Borneo Bulletin.

The National Working Committee on Anti-Trafficking in Persons of Brunei has always been committed to continuous efforts to prevent and counter the threat of human trafficking issues in the country, the media reported. Enditem
