DHAKA, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- The Bangladeshi interim government here on Wednesday signed a loan agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for 600 million U.S. dollars for an economic management and private sector development project.
Officials of Bangladesh's Economic Relations Division (ERD) and ADB's country office for Bangladesh signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
The project aims to help the country strengthen economic management and establish a transparent and accountable regulatory environment regime for private sector development.
It will focus on strengthening fiscal management, improving the investment climate and governance of state enterprises, and strengthening trade and policy, according to a statement by the ERD. Enditem
