LOS ANGELES, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- U.S. private space company SpaceX launched 21 Starlink satellites into orbit on Monday.
According to SpaceX, the satellites were launched aboard a Falcon 9 rocket at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 12:35 a.m. Eastern Time.
SpaceX later confirmed the deployment of the 21 satellites, including 13 with Direct to Cell capabilities.
This was the 14th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission.
Starlink will deliver high-speed broadband internet to locations where access has been unreliable, expensive, or completely unavailable, according to SpaceX. Enditem
