7 dead, 33 injured in three-vehicle collision in southern Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- Seven people were killed and 33 others injured in a collision involving three vehicles near Ayer Keroh Rest and Service of the North-South Expressway northbound late Monday night.

Local media reported that the accident involved a tour bus carrying 27 passengers, a trailer and a Toyota Multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).

According to local police, the victims included three men, three women, and a baby girl.

The crash caused severe traffic congestion of over 10 kilometers in both directions of the highway.

The cause of the accident was under investigation, and authorities were conducting further inquiries and managing the situation. Enditem
